Gold production in Cameroon

Alluvial gold is artisanally exploited from stream gravels in parts of Cameroon
Cameroon is a country rich in gold.  For the moment, gold is not an industrial product, but artisanal. CAPAM (Framework for the support and promotion of mining), says Cameroon will produce close to 17,700 kg of gold on a small scale from 2012 to 2016. Artisanal production in 2013 is estimated at 724.8 kg.
Stimulate entrepreneurship The Mining Code of Cameroon authorizes artisanal mining, as well as other forms of mining. For the moment, only C and K Mining has a license to “dig” gold industrially although it is yet to start exploitation.
But with the increased mechanization of artisanal mining, many companies are interested. In Bétaré-Oya, a locality in Eastern Cameroon, the main gold producing region, eight companies are on the ground.

Many of them have an average production of 10 kg per month, according to CAPAM. Channel the production According to CAPAM at least 740 gold deposits have been identified in Cameroon, the majority being of an artisanal mining nature.

The estimated monthly domestic production is 270 kg. Through this operation, CAPAM secures 270 kg with the support of the defense forces. According to the Ministry of Economy, studies are underway to evaluate the gold potential of Cameroon.

But artisanal mining is effective in the eastern, northern and southern parts of the country.

A demon turtle captured in Japan

This is a demon tortoise captured in Japan..  The Japanese had to call on US naval seal teams to help reel the demon turtle weighing over 7 tons..

Some residents claimed at night its eyes would glow red as it emerged from the waters, usually hungry for small children or cattle to eat, but its appetite knowing no true limit..

Other residents say the great demon tortoise could be heard wailing in the distance, bellowing out toward the heavens and speaking ancient Japanese, the words they say were a call toward the dark gods of ancient.

When the US special forces were finally called in, one soldier recalled, “We watched the target gallop down a highway, running head first toward a brave semitruck driver determined to be heroic and knock the turtle out with kamikaze tactics.

Japanese officials frantically called him on his CB radio, telling him to turn around.  I would say the turtle was running a good 20 miles per hour, it was insane!  It was crazy.”

“The semi hit the demon turtle dead and there was a huge explosion.  The truck:  decimated.  The demon turtle winced a bit in its eyes and then ran its tongue over its face, savoring the spent pieces of burnt metal and charred human flesh from the explosion.

Suddenly, it made eye-contact toward where we were hiding and seemed to catch our scent. We evacuated by chopper and all our small arms fire did not put a dent in the beast, we may as well have been 6-year-old children throwing firecrackers.”
